Business as usual is no longer going to cut it. We are challenging the status quo. We’re not throwing out all we know, our solutions, or our expertise. But, we are doing things differently. To help illustrate this new Verizon mentality at the annual summit, I decided to create a cohesive vision around, interestingly, kaleidoscopes.

Verizon Executive Summit

After a year of ups and downs, Verizon wanted to reinvent their annual summit. Business as usual was no longer going to cut it. So the goal for this summit was to inspire creative solutions through uncharted territory, to challenge the status quo, and to truly look at things from a new perspective.

We landed on this event anthem: “We don’t wait for the future. We build it.” And as the lead art director for the summit, I chose to illustrate this battle cry with a cohesive event aesthetic built around—interestingly enough—kaleidoscopes.

Kaleidoscopes have beauty and symmetry that invite you to pause, to linger. By surrounding summit attendees with beautiful kaleidoscopic images, my goal was to provoke altered perspectives. After all, this wasn’t just a summit; this was an invitation for Verizon’s executive leadership to mold the future by seeing and doing things in ways they’d never considered before.
