Oh hey, fancy meeting you here.

That’s me up above.

Just joshin’. That’s my dog, Honey. She’s cuter than me though, so I thought it wiser to start with her. If you’re wondering, Honey is a goldendoodle and she doesn’t go anywhere without her ChuckIt ball. In fact, it’s still TBD on how many hours of fetch will tire her out.

This is actually me.

But before we become friends, it’s probably best that you know the following about me:

  1. I sewed a pair of purple leopard flannel pants when I was nine years old (and wore them ‘til they started falling apart).

  2. I started art directing photoshoots when I was 17, working for a celebrated Denver photographer.

  3. One of my favorite travel experiences was witnessing a monkey gang fight in Jaipur, India.

  4. I met my husband at MRM//McCann. He’s a strategist (and yes, his briefs were that good).

  5. I believe the greatest ideas are only possible with at least two brains working together.

Background check anyone?!

It all started in Littleton, Colorado. Well, kinda. That’s where I grew up anyway. My mom (a watercolor artist and art teacher) inspired me with her creativity, while my dad (a very detail-oriented and analytical computer engineer) taught me problem-solving and strategy. I learned to combat challenges with creativity.

And then, I fell in love with advertising. I think it’s what I was searching for all along: the marriage of strategic thinking and creativity. I was searching for that exact fix when I took an intro to advertising class at BYU. I fell in love. (Must’ve been their marketing strategy, eh?!) So 5 years (and lots of all-nighters later), I graduated from the BYU AdLab.

Oh, and weird fact:
I used to make wedding films.

Random, right?! For nearly a decade, I shot and edited wedding videos domestically and internationally. Since then, my videos have been featured on ABC, People, and many other major sites––many of which spotlighted an epic father/daughter dance video I shot that went viral.

Although wedding films (and wedding photography too) was a fun chapter in my life, my intention with that business was to fund my way through college. But I’ll never forget the lessons I learned from that piece of my history. For example, learning to calm and to guide brides translated to building meaningful client partnerships in advertising. Navigating high-stress, big-budget weddings has translated to a higher sense of import and responsibility in our industry. And spending thousands of hours video editing helped me craft unique stories (even when dealing with the same basic narrative).

Alright, enough of me rambling. Let’s be friends already. Shoot me a message or connect with me on social media.
