Verizon’s One Talk
Small business owners don't slow down. Neither did this spot.
Verizon One Talk is an app built for small businesses—with 50+ features to manage call routing, texts, operations, and more. The challenge? Explaining this feature-rich tool without overwhelming people.
I storyboarded and art directed a video that matched the relentless pace of small business ownership. I designed a series of mini-sets that transformed around a single talent—visually mirroring how owners shift between roles all day. The approach kept the energy high, stretched a modest budget, and made a dense script feel dynamic rather than exhausting. The video became a core sales asset for Verizon's teams and lived on the product website.

The challenge wasn't just explaining One Talk—it was making it relevant for any small business. Strategy had identified key sectors and I worked with director Samir Rehem to hone in on the most feasible, designing scenes that could flex across verticals without feeling generic.
We shot in an industrial warehouse in Toronto, designing mini-sets that our talent could move between seamlessly. Each set represented a different business context, and the choreography had to feel natural while keeping pace with a dense, feature-heavy script. Director Samir Rehem (Circle Toronto) and I planned the transitions to maximize our modest budget—transforming the same space multiple times rather than building separate locations.
The wildcard? The script was evolving in real time during the shoot as feedback came in from Verizon teams. It required quick pivots from both the talent and my copywriting partner to keep the energy consistent while adapting on the fly.
