When Verizon asked us to help launch 5G Home Internet, we knew we needed something tangible. So we partnered with Amazon to create ‘5G Smart Homes,’ showcasing what’s possible when ultra-fast wi-fi meets ultra-smart home tech. The campaign included a hero video plus three tailored cuts that targeted distinct tech personas—from tech minimalists to smart home gurus—each designed for social targeting and leading to an Amazon storefront.

The Challenge

Verizon’s new 5G Home Internet was unfamiliar territory for most consumers. Most people associated 5G with smartphones—not home internet. Our campaign needed to build awareness while also delivering just enough product clarity to make it click.

Target Demographics

To reach consumers across the tech-savvy spectrum, our team defined three tech personas: the minimalist, the functionalist, and the guru. The campaign’s hero video featured all three, while tailored videos fueled social targeting and influencer content.

Smart Home Shop

Digital ads, influencers, and organic content drove traffic to Verizon's Amazon storefront, where customers could explore each tech persona and purchase their own smart home setup. An in-page form captured high-intent leads for 5G Home service, connecting them with the sales team in their area.

Business Impact

The campaign kickstarted a record-breaking era of growth, fueling a 215% YoY increase in broadband additions and achieving the company's best performance in over a decade. 5G home internet went from a niche offer to dominating the market, surpassing 3 million subscribers by the end of 2023.
