Back in the day, I used to shoot weddings and portraits full-time. And surprisingly, the lessons I learned from a decade of camera work still applies today—like learning to read the energy of the room, pitching ideas, directing and coaching models (and non-models), winning repeat clients, art directing stylized shoots, and crafting deals with media companies.
